Doug Lind
President and General Manager

Doug is the President of Lind Exco, Inc. He was born and grew up on a farm near Vermillion, SD where he attended both high school and college, graduating from the University of SD with a degree in business. In 1971, his brother Greg and he, with the help of their father Sterling, started Lind Excavating as a way to pay college tuition and expenses. After graduating, they decided to continue growing the company, and it has now become one of the most highly respected and successful highway/heavy construction contracting firms in the state.
Doug has one son, John, and enjoys golf, home projects, gourmet cooking, hunting and fishing, competetive sports, and music. He has been involved with the Associated General Contractors for over 20 years, serve on various volunteer and church boards and committees, and also am a Rotarian.
Since the company was formed, he has been President and General Manager of Lind-Exco, Inc., and performs a variety of duties involving cost estimating, bidding, marketing, sales, humarn resources, and scheduling.
